About Abiaatecrew

An independent voice for sustainable fashion and conscious living in Singapore

Why This Project Exists

Singapore produces more than 200 tonnes of textile waste every single day. Most of it ends up in Semakau Landfill, and very little gets recycled. We started Abiaatecrew because we believed there was a gap between the growing interest in sustainability and the practical information available to people here.

Our team spends time visiting thrift shops, speaking with local designers, and testing alteration services across the island. The result is honest, detailed content that helps you make better decisions about what you wear and where you buy it.

We are not affiliated with any brand, retailer, or fashion label. Our recommendations come from personal visits and research, not sponsorships.

What We Cover

Our editorial focus stays within sustainable fashion as it relates to Singapore and Southeast Asia. That includes:

  • Thrift store reviews and neighbourhood guides
  • Clothing repair tutorials and tailor recommendations
  • Profiles of local sustainable fashion brands
  • Guides on fabric choices, garment care, and wardrobe planning
  • Industry data on textile waste and recycling in the region

Our Values

Research First

Every recommendation is based on actual visits and verified information. We cite sources like the National Environment Agency and UN Environment Programme when discussing waste data.

Community Driven

We engage with Singapore's thrifting community through swap events, social conversations, and reader feedback. Your experiences shape our coverage.

No Hidden Agendas

We do not run affiliate links, sponsored posts, or paid reviews. If we like a store or brand, it is because we genuinely think it delivers value.
